About Stefan Deiters After having finished school and
military service Stefan studied physics at the University of Kiel. He
made a PhD in astronomy at Astronomisches Rechen-Institut and University of
Heidelberg and worked as a postdoc in Heidelberg (2002/2003), Straßburg (2003)
and Edinburgh (2003-2006). Since 2006 Stefan is working as a freelance science writer
in Hamburg. He is founder and editor of astronews.com, one of the oldest and
most respected popular astronomy websites in German language. For more
